Amazon FBA Case Pack Rules
Improper case packing is a leading cause of FBA shipment issues. Follow these requirements to avoid delays and additional fees.
Box Size Requirements
| Requirement | Specification |
|---|---|
| Maximum weight | 50 lbs per box |
| Maximum dimensions | No single side over 25" |
| Single-item exception | Items over 50 lbs ship individually, max 150 lbs |
| Box material | Standard corrugated cardboard |
| Padding | Fill all voids to prevent shifting |
Case Pack vs Individual Units
Case pack: Multiple units of the same ASIN in one box Individual units: Mixed ASINs in one box
| Method | Check-in Speed | Requirements |
|---|---|---|
| Case pack (same ASIN) | Faster | All units identical, case quantity consistent |
| Individual units (mixed) | Slower | Each unit individually labeled, box content info |
Case Pack Best Practices
- Consistent quantities — Every box of the same ASIN should contain the same number of units
- Match Seller Central — Case quantity in your listing must match physical box count
- Don't mix ASINs in case packs — only in individual unit shipments
- Standard box sizes — Use consistent box sizes for each product
- Fill voids — Prevent products from shifting during transit
